A new restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky serving Cuban cuisine with a Caribbean flair. When you think Brasabana, think of “brasa,” meaning hot embers and “bana,” the last four letters of Habana, Spanish for Havana.
Chef Amy Harris began her professional career in 2012 at Jonathan at Gratz Park. Her culinary background is heavily influenced by her southern roots and she takes great pride in incorporating those elements into her modern cuisine. Amy believes that cooking is a very organic process and loves bridging together items that aren't necessarily “the norm.”
“ I love the fricasse de pollo and Puerco brasabana! One of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. Plus the mojitos are delicious. They offer salsa dancing lessons for free ~once a month which is also a fun perk”
“ Most importantly the food was amazing. The best cuban food outside South Florida. The portions are large and filling for a great value. The live music was enjoyable but not too loud for comfortable conversation. ”
“ Best Cuban food in Lexington, KY!”
